My guess is NFG either does select Warped dates or has some an opening spot lined up for some big summer tour (Paramore?). Would make sense with doing a bunch of club shows for their true fans they then do an opening slot for maybe a new/different type of fan base over the summer.
With Confidence just announced they're playing a festival in the Philippines on the 25th of June, so they're not doing a full run if they're on at all.
It's possible. I'm not sure how the TTTS run is selling but since they keep calling it a "short run", they probably have no problem coming back to do the entire Warped.
I got mine for NYC so I'm ready! Looking at the ticket page for the NYC show, it looks like it sold about 400 tickets in a 1,000 person venue. There's still more than a month until the tour even starts so I wouldn't be too worried.
These are bands that have been "confirmed" in this thread. I added Dangerkids. Anyone else I am missing? Blessthefall * Creeper * Criminal Instinct * Emmure * Dance Gavin Dance Escape The Fate * Fit For A King The Ghost Inside (Lyman offered them a spot at the 2016 band announcement show) Harms Way * Hatebreed * I Prevail * Invent, Animate * Modern Life Is War * Municipal Waste * New Years Day * The Orwells * Silent Planet * A Skylit Drive * Sylar *
Listening to Lead Singer Syndrome right now, and TSOL has been confirmed for Warped Tour this summer.
Someone mentioned one of the singers of Dangerkids said it was a no go. Vigil from the ghost inside said they won't be doing it and I believe as for hatebreed, they'll be overseas around that time someone mentioned
He didn't say how long they were on the tour, he just said that they were "doing warped this year" and talked about how crazy that is.
I don't see how a band like them would benefit from doing more than a few dates. I could see them doing a few dates for fun.
Yeah I was surprised when he said it, but he kinda made it seem like they were doing a significant portion of the tour. Also at the end of the episode Shane said "maybe I'll be seeing you this summer, that's all I have to say about that" so Silverstein is almost surely on the tour. I think we all assumed that though.
You think because Lyman had success with the "older" bands last year in terms of there being no drama?
To a degree, yeah, haha. Less Than Jake had a pretty sizable crowd last year, and Reel Big Fish did pretty well. I think if you get enough of those bands together, it might convince some of the older punks to come out.
No one in particular. I just can see the tour going that direction, since from the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be a lot of the tour's usual staples to pick from this year.
Warped would be smart to keep booking a few older bands each year. The older crowd only stopped going because they didn't like the lineups after the mid 00s. They definitely didn't grow out of or stop going to shows. Stuff like It's Not Dead or The Summer Nationals tour a few years ago are proof of that. The main problem is convincing the bands who are in their 40s to deal with the Warped schedule for a whole summer.
I think they were confirmed in here already, but I Prevail made a post on Facebook yesterday asking fans if they want to see them on Warped 2017...that pretty much looks like pure confirmation right there.
Around what time last year did we get the full lineup leak? I think it was a week before the official announcement, but I can't remember. Considering how many bands we already have gathered I wouldn't be surprised to see it soon.
