Regarding Milchick, I just assumed his situation is the same as Cobel's was. They were both probably indoctrinated into this Keir cult as children and its all they know. So there's moments where it seems he's questioning Lumon or is just straight over them, but at the same time his mind is programmed to just be loyal. And that the whole Ms. Huang storyline was to show what Cobel and Milchick went through and that age too.

Also I think its important not to overlook Jame saying Helly has the fire of Kier in her. Mark being with her may bode well for them potentially in the severed floor. Maybe season 3 will introduce a permanent outie block and Helly R and Mark S will be brought into the higher ups of Lumon.

I'm not against what you are saying but being a fan of a band doesn't mean you need to be on board with every decision they make. People can say they don't like the direction the band is going and its a fair statement. If you like the new iteration of the band, who cares what other people are saying, just enjoy it.

Had to laugh at the waffle party card that Mark gets. Not that it didn’t always seem like a silly gesture, but in that moment it couldn’t have felt more trivial and infantilizing. Good job buddy, you’re about to kill Gemma, yourself, and everyone else you love. Here is waffle for u

Realistically, they’d kill him. But it’s a show. So there will be a reason why they keep him around, maybe Jame thinks he can convince Helly R to be his heir if he gives her a path to a long-term life with iMark.

I know this was probably strictly a Milchick thing because he loves showmanship, but the thought of Mark finishing Cold Harbor under Cobel’s watch and her having to do all that shit with the wax statue and marching band is very funny

His outtie essentially telling him “you’re a bad-ass. hang in there” and then seeing him, once again, be the physical hold to keep the action happening was great. I wonder if there are non-story, logistical reasons for Irving not coming back. There were comments about Torturro saying he was done with the character but I never read the actual source for that. Irving’s deal being fully saved for next season makes sense but his idyllic exit having had some seconds of love and intimacy could also be a nice little odd exit if the character/actor are really done on the show.

My frustration with the season overall is Irving. Still no further information on how he knew the exports hallway and then the added mystery of who he was on the phone to. That’s probably my big gripe of the season. I definitely think it’s Helly in the hallway. Her speech to the C&M was definitely about taking full control of the life that they have as innies so it doesn’t then surprise me that she appeared in the hallway. For innie Mark, his best way to be with Helly is to remain on the floor with her. At the end of the day, she is the Eagan and potentially has the ability to let them live outside of Lumon as their innies. I would guess that’s the aim of remaining with her as a bigger picture apart from the fact that they are all each other knows of love.

Love the way Dylan’s story is going and how they resolved his dilemma this season. The outie response to his resignation was really well done. He’s still being a baby about his wife kissing the innie, but the idea of him admitting he admires his innie and finds confidence in himself knowing that confident version of himself is in there is touching. I also think it puts the writing on the wall for innie Dylan to definitely not make it out of this show

Idk if anyone has acknowledged this but I like how the conversation between outie/innie Mark and Devon’s comment afterward indicate to us that they don’t understand reintegration any more than the audience does. It is possible that the concept itself is entirely bullshit. I think many of us likely have logistical questions about how that’s all supposed to work and it’s nice that they’re not trying to force a ludicrous answer on us

Innie Mark choosing Helly makes sense if you go with the themes that Dan Erickson talked about for the Innies in Season 2: Think about how dramatic your first love felt like as a teenager. The way you'd live or die for them. That's Innie Mark right now with Helly.

Texans select Shemar Turner, IDL, Texas A&M Colts select Jared Wilson, IOL, Georgia Texans badly need depth on the defensive interior. Colts need competition for Bortolini and OG starter TBD.

It may all end up very dumb in the end and not make sense but the story isn’t over and just gotta wait til season 3 to see the fallout. but from a motivation and logic perspective it makes more sense to me for innie mark to stay.

It was false resignation to her fate and acceptance of losing iMark. When she stood on the table and gave her speech to the band people, she had realized that she is as deserving of a life as an outie and was no longer giving up from that point on. Again, it’s a last few days yadda yadda for someone looking at it like “they’re innies, what do they expect?” but, for an innie, it’s instant death or fighting for more time in their life with someone they love.

Helly's arc works for me for the season as a whole. She started out the season having just discovered who she really is outside of Lumon, immediately had her body and identity usurped by her outtie to trick the only people she cares about, has to fight to regain her little Lumon family's trust, has her sexual awakening with Mark, realizes through the growing discovery of her autonomy that she can utilize her outtie's authority, and is told by Helena's own father - after all the turmoil Helena put her through this season - that she has more potential than her counterpart. So right up to the moment that Mark is about to complete Cold Harbor and he tells her he wants to live a life with her, she is still willing to sacrifice their love in the belief that she is a mere extension of Helena by responding "But I'm her." It isn't until that moment when she rallies the troops and stands up for herself, for Dylan, for Mark, and for all of the innies, that she fully realizes that everything she is saying about them is also true of herself. Last season Helena made it clear to Helly that she believes Helly is nothing. Helena and the Egans view the severed as objects, but Helly knows now she has an identity all her own and that, contrary to Helena's belief, Helly has potential. She's got "the fire." It's the moment she fully self actualizes and changes her mind about what she told Mark because now she knows, "I'm not her." Lumon can tear her world apart going forward, but they can't take this moment away from her and in the moment that's all that matters. They give them half a life and expect them not to fight for it, and they're fools for it. The equator be damned.

I think this split might come from people not considering their viewpoint as inherently logical and not very heavy oMark biased. If you think oMark is the only real one, it makes sense for iMark, a not real entity, to do whatever he needs to do to help oMark’s story. If you put yourself in iMark’s shoes as a real living person, it’s not hard to see how he didn’t kill himself to help someone he only knows as a stranger who shares his body.
