the american justice system has of course always handled cases like this with dignity and respect towards the victims and there's definitely not a very recent world event that proved that!

The whole show was amazing, had goosebumps the entire time and really enjoyed myself. Definitely was surprised they did the whole encore at the B stage but man that ruled especially seeing them play Heaven Help Us. Just a heads up that getting merch was kind of a nightmare but that's just me being annoyed that I spent over 2 hours in line for the outside merch truck and then had to bail so I didn't miss any of the music.

I've listened to the song 4 times and get nothing out of it. I can't remember what it sounds like at all after hearing it. Weird feeling when everyone else likes it.

Both singles are a little sanitized for my taste. Strong vocal compression and everything sounds snapped to tempo. Might have more energy, but does it have the feeling?

After 25+ years of listening to pop punk I can't really deal with that chord progression played that way any more.

I don’t really dig it but I think it’s just based on the lackluster lyrics and on the nose pop-punk approach. Very “safe” in that regard. However, I love a good Hoppus vocal. Would’ve appreciated a better bridge as well.

It's weird. I can't tell if I like or love the new song? It's almost going to depend on what comes after. I'm kinda viewing this song as a table-setter or support piece than a showstopper, if that makes sense.

That Zane Lowe interview was absolutely incredible. I was locked in the whole time, and usually an hour plus long band interview is daunting for me. steph is such an odd bird, but I’m glad they work together to allow him to operate in the band with all his idiosyncrasies, because I do think his guitar work is integral to who Deftones are. They mention “grateful” a lot in that interview, and I really feel that as a long time fan, just grateful they’re still together, grateful the output is quality, but also grateful to just see that they found a healthy way to create and tour with each other, and that the shows seem incredible and potentially sounding better than they ever have. Glad to live in an era where bands I discovered when I was 11-12 are still releasing impactful music and touring while I’m in my mid 30s. the bits where Steph hadn’t heard the full album sequenced but Zane had, and him not knowing the song titles aside from their working titles was pretty funny. I feel like Steph even said something like, “I’ll learn it and figure it all out when it comes out”.

It truly is a mystery how in three When We Were Young's, they have not been asked once. Or even Sad Summer Fest. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes with offers and whatnot, but it also seems like they don't get a lot of offers to go out as support for bigger bands, and typically wind up just doing their own tours. Quite a shame! These guys always deserved more. But the new tunes absolutely rip, so I'm stoked for the album.
