Paper Walls might have jumped to my fav YC record. There’s no song that I dislike, only the sequencing of some songs. Glad Ryan has MSK in the setlist, that’s such an incredible song (top 5 for me), and def works well with his solo sound
I know this is an old post, but I’m curious why? I know members have changed often over time, but why would the final incarnation of the band never get back together?
Two things that drive me crazy to this day: - Paper walls not getting the correct promotion and release - With You Around not being a lead single
I think PW is my favorite, it’s just bangers from start to finish. The riffs surprisingly make it pretty timeless. Mendez was such a great addition.
Totally. I still stand by the statement that the albums went Ocean -> PW -> L&S they would have been larger But they had a lot going against them
I remember seeing them playing that on some setlists during their farewell tour and being so sad when they skipped it at my show.
Alternative Rock Catalog Featuring Yellowcard Was this ever posted? Completed auction, but I thought it was interesting.
At least it's only royalties for 10 years. All the royalty streams revert back to the rights holder, who I assume is the band. I think it's pretty smart! Those types of assets tend to be valued at some multiple of the trailing twelve month revenue, which was inflated a bit by their farewell tour.
Because that's what was sold? Also, it might just be a share of royalties and not 100%. Or I could be misreading the page... I don't really understand what all the different types of royalties mean.
Right but I meant like why would they sell their royalties? Wouldn’t they want to keep getting that money? I guess I just don’t understand how all that works haha
The Offspring did the same thing. For a few million cash upfront, they just don't get $50 checks on the mail for sales anymore.
