    Unsure if you're aware of this, but this was part of a RSD release a couple years ago. The strings are pretty light but it may be more along the lines of what you're looking for!

    I think I've heard that once or twice before, but I had forgotten about it. Thanks for reminding me of it. Definitely prefer that one. Even the subtle strings give it some color and uniqueness that I feel the original is lacking. Pure piano ballads (no other instrumentation) just don't really do it for me, although I do still like the original.
