Just got back from the show. This band is SO fucking good. Picked up The Knot, Civilian, Shriek and Tween on LP. They're selling just about everything you can think of and they fucking slay live. No excuses, people. Get there.

 

So goddamn jealous

 

I've really only listened to Shriek, but I think you've sold me on going to see them on Tuesday.

 

You will regret literally nothing. They create four people's worth of sound as a duo. And like, hella good melodies, pretty undeniable interplay between the drums and whatever Jenn's playing and when they get real loud, it's just spine-chilling. I had so much fun.

 

Looks like we might be getting something this year

am definitely incredibly excited obviously, especially after how good flock of dimes was

 

Their best record is ahead of them yet, and honestly, I think it's going to be this next one.

 

It's amazing how ridiculously consistent and great all of their releases are throughout

 

The Knot might honestly be my favorite record of theirs. Makes me feel like I'm floating through the sky on a warm rainy day.

John Darnielle names Civilian in his top 10 Merge releases list, calls it a "total masterpiece, peerless record"
