I’ve never done a festival in Vegas but unless you’re dead tired or against gambling/drinking I’ve always felt like you could do a short walk and “wait it out” to get where you actually want to.
The time zone difference for me screwed me. I was only in town for 2 and half days and the fest feeling like it ended at 3am with a flight the next morning destroyed me
My trip last year was Wednesday morning through Sunday afternoon. Way too long, but that was our first time in Vegas so we did a bunch of gambling, dinners, couple shows to fill the gaps until Saturday's fest. Will be cutting down the stay this year.
We also did Wednesday through Sunday, with our flight out at Monday at like 3AM. Of course we had Saturday tickets, so we figured check out on Sunday, fuck around in Vegas one last bit and then go to the airport. Once Saturday got cancelled and we had to scramble to get Sunday tickets, suddenly going from the concert to the airport was a lot more hellish. Especially Considering we were there from doors to the end of MCR.
I’m gonna fly in on Fri late evening, hit the show on Sat then fly out for Hawaii (the real vacation) on Mon. Hoping there’s some good acts at some of the clubs on Fri night, I’d love to catch Kaskade or Deadmau5.
You know what's amazing about this festival. Every so often it dawns on me that some other band I forgot about is playing this thing and it makes me laugh in disbelief like Oh yeah, the fucking OFFSPRING are gonna be there?? And they're like 8th billed. That's right a random SOMETHING CORPORATE reunion is thrown in there
I look at the lineup every few weeks or whatever and I always see someone on there I forgot is playing. Michelle Branch? Hell yeah!
When you see the lineup at first you are so overwhelmed by the upper card that by the time that you get to the lower one your brain can't process anything anymore.
Thank goodness they’ll still be at WWWY. That’s going to be a sweet chance for a lot of us to see them for the final time
Sum's doing a worldwide final tour next year too, so even if you don't see them at WWWY, there'll be other chances!
Are we allowed to try to sell tickets on this forum? My friends can’t go now and we have like 5 tickets to get rid of now lol
Good news, looks like the tickets are holding their value on the secondary market this year. If you can offload them prior to like August you should be able to get all your money back.
I was gonna say “you snooze, you lose” but I didn’t want to sound like a jerk, but then I saw your username and it’s actually too perfect.
Seems like there’s very little buzz around this fest this year. Doesn’t look to be a lot of people trying to get rid of tickets either, less than 100 total listings on StubHub for both dates combined.
I'm excited. And it will set in more when I get that wristband. Been tracking flights and it's quite expensive still.
