Can't agree with that, M&A is almost as good as LCW for me. My hot take is that Good News is mostly not very good. Like the debut and probably We Were Dead more.
Voted LCW, but wouldn’t argue with Moon. I have the opposite take on Good News: secretly way underrated.
It's definitely Moon. That album is a perfect transitional peak between their old.material and newer, pop-oriented stuff. Hardly a wrong answer here though, any album but Strangers to Ourselves (which I still enjoy) could take it on any given day. One of the best, most consistent indie rock bands of all time.
Moon LCW Good News (could be second when I feel more in the mood for hi-fi MM) We Were Dead (still a 9/10) Long Drive Building Nothing (still an 8/10) Strangers
Somewhere between Moon and Good News for me. I hated this band for the longest time because the first song I downloaded was that damn Ping Pong song and it ruined them for me lol
I need to do a full listen of their discography. I love enough songs without ever having fully dived in.
prob Moon but thirding or fourthing the Building Nothing from Something love, incredible compilation with a small tracklist shift We Were Dead would be top tier for me
(Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks) Moon & Antarctica This is a Long Drive... Good News The Lonesome Crowded West (Building Nothing Out of Something) (Interstate 8) We Were Dead Strangers to Ourselves (still like an 8/10 honestly) (No One's First and You're Next) something like that
The Moon & Antarctica We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank Lonesome Crowded West Good News for People Who Love Bad News Build Something Out Of Nothing Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks This is a Long Drive For Someone with Nothing to Think About Interstate 8 Strangers to Ourselves The Fruit That Ate Itself No Ones First, and You're Next Sad Sappy Sucker
