How are the Dragon Age games as Role-Playing Games? I've always looked at them but never tried to play.

 

Origins is one of the best RPG's I've played. The concept of Grey Wardens is fantastic and the story is great.
Dragon Age 2 was a massive drop in quality. Most people, from what I remember, didn't like the linear story but I enjoyed it as a continuation.
Inquisition was a step up into open world gameplay but didn't truly match what Origins is. I'd recommend them as RPG games but I'd maybe wait and see what 4 will offer.

 

1 is awesome but maybe clunky in 2018, I haven’t played 2 because it sounds lame, Inquisition is still one of my favorite games of this generation and on sale frequently

 

I love RPGs and anything that's not the first one is meh

Inquisition is better so don't worry, just okay that.

The only reason why I say it's better is because while Origins was great at the time, the controls and mechanics definitely feel like that generation and do not hold up well. If it got a remaster (which it should) with updated stuff, I would definitely recommend it, but at this point I don't see much reason to have someone go back when Inquisition is so good in it's own right.

 

Yeah, I haven't played Origins since I had my 360 so not sure how it holds up. Inquisition can still be played but might need to read up on some lore.

 

It's 2018, i'm sure they have youtube videos that can help

 

Inquisition works well enough on its own when it comes to lore, though watching a video is certainly better

 

i am still bitter over the fact that i played before the patches smoothed things out, my last dragon i killed never registered to unlock the achievement lol

 

My main file has this bug where one old mission description never leaves the hub, no mater what I do. Patches didn’t help and I never found anyone else with the bug. Drove me crazy.
