Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/XB1, Oct 26, 2018) Video Game

I decided to get it on xbox one just because my ps4 is in the living room.

 

Decided I'm going to take advantage of the Gamespot trade in deal (and RDR2 deal) and upgrade from my OG Xbox One to the X.

 

Got it ready to go on my X. Cannot wait to dive into this. Red Dead Redemption is one of my favorite games of all time.

 

How does that work again?

 

wait, it looks like Gamestop will start selling at 9pm tonight?

 

i think you have to have preordered to get it at 9...i'm stuck waiting until tomorrow afternoon...gotta get paid first.

also wishing i had some PTO left because i would 100% call out tomorrow..lol.

 

my plans for this weekend include hot wings, mid90s, RDR2 and bad times at el royale. it will be a good weekend.

 

Just the 27 hours left to download ffs. Hoping that will speed up a bit overnight.

 

Got the physical ps4 version arriving tomorrow. Very excited. Wanna meet some weirdos in the desert.

 

I'll keep y'all updated on how every single NPC hates me and wants to kill me, renegade forever.

 

Picking my first console in years and game up tonight, how long should I expect it to take to set the console up and get the game installed?

 

I also have to remember how to play poker........

Not sure about how much difference there is in regards to installation speed between physical game and downloading digitally, but Spider-Man is like ~50GB and it took a good 4 hours to download and I have relatively decent internet. This is roughly double that.

maybe it’s because my internet is decent but Xbox usually feels short with game downloads.

 

Setting up the console took me awhile, but that was also 3-4 years ago

 

They have a console trade in deal going right now until 10/28 where you get a certain amount of money (depends on what console you're trading in) towards an Xbox One X if you trade and your console. They also have a deal that gives you $100 off a purchase of an Xbox One X or S with a purchase of RDR2.

 

I got a Xbox One S like a year ago and yeah the set up felt so fast especially around Christmas time.

just seeing those gamestop trade deals...real tempted to trade my launch ps4 and switch in for the Pro/RDR2 bundle but i think my wife would literally murder me if i got rid of the switch...
