My life is empty and meaningless so I actually went to the effort of updating my list. Happier with it now

 

i know that liking kiss land is the weird stance haha. i didn't expect it to be anyone's favorite, but i also didn't expect echoes of silence to be anyone's favorite, either. i also don't know that i'd seen much ranking of the weeknd's music since 2012 or so. it just stuck out to me because i don't think i ever saw anyone really hyping echoes the same way people have for house of balloons.

 

Well...that took all night. Here's mine:

 

I mean, it's just my personal opinion, I don't really care what the consensus is. I don't know how big of a fan you are, but I think it's odd that someone who enjoys The Weeknd's music wouldn't like Echoes of Silence. It's the perfection of his sound imo. If you look at my list, I did also include House of Balloons too, it's a very close second to me.

You should post your ranking in The Weeknd thread, would be interesting to see your list! My rankings change all the time, the only ones that stay firmly in place are EoS and HoB. My ranking now would be:

Echoes of Silence > House of Balloons > Thursday > Beauty Behind the Madness > Kiss Land

Love Acid Rap too, the other 2 releases are just more important to me

 

This was fun...tried to limit myself to one album per artist, still not entirely satisfied.

 

i'll be the idiot who has to ask...what are #3 and #4?

 

#3 is Nujabes - Metaphorical Music
#4 is The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute
