Listened to Echoes of Silence for the first time in a while tonight. Some really interesting atmospheric stuff that he hasn't really approached since. And that title track is low-key one of his best songs... took me back to the first time I heard it, right around Christmas 5 years ago. Crazy that he pulled off Trilogy.

 

I imagine if I played EOS again it'd be better than I remembered. Hope so.

 

EOS was so good, I loved it. Gonna listen to it again now haha.

 

Trilogy is pretty great. At one point I made a 12ish compilation of my favorite stuff from Trilogy and it felt like the strongest debut album ever. I don't hate the new album, or the direction he has gone, but I do wish that he flexed his creativity now like he used to

I love them all though. Abel is one of my favourite artists.

I actually really like Kiss Land now. The only song I don't love is "Live For" but it's still okay.

These songs are amazing and exactly why I will never understand the extreme hatred that Kiss Land receives on this website lol. "Belong to the World" is probably my favourite from that album.

Trilogy just never gets old for me. I know it's cheating cos technically it's 3 mixtapes all in 1, but I basically think of it as one massive album, and it's very easily one of my favourites. I adore every song.

 

Honestly think this is my favourite album of all time at this point, there's no record I return to more

 

Bumping this because i'm listening to House of Balloons and wondering how he fell off so much since those first three mixtapes. Everything he's done since then has been below subpar IMO.

 

Yeah because he stopped being addicted to drugs and became a happier person.

 

Being happy is overrated.

 

Just gave Kiss Land a proper listen. Was better than I remembered. Some great tracks on there.
