Give me your top 5 docs of the year please

 

Season premiere of Mayor of Kingstown was the literal definition of nervousness and dread lol. This season is gonna be intense.

 

Just watched The North Water on AMC+. I had read the book recently, such a good series. Shame it got so overlooked in the US

 

Series was quite good, but bleak af

 

The book is even bleaker, also pretty short. I'd say it's worth a read

 

I don't feel like I watched enough quality ones to confidently make a top 5. Just a lot of streaming doc stuff. A lot of which are pretty trashy.

The Perfect Neighbor is my #1, maybe the best doc I have seen in years. Prime Minister was pretty good. I liked the first two episodes of the Netflix Katrina doc. The Netflix Astroworld doc was really good

 

I'd add The Alabama Solution to that doc list

 

Still need to check that one out

 

It's really good. Definitely recommend it.

 

Also the Pee Wee doc, the John Candy one, Sly Lives, Pavements and Mr. Scorsese (if we're counting series) but I still need to watch all those.

Goddamn. RIP Paramount+. I wonder if this means his current shows are ending before or in 2028? Or is there any way they could move networks?

 

The Perfect Neighbor is as much of a must-watch as everyone has been saying, damn

 

I am starting The Outsider on Max. I never seen this one before.

 

Loved the first two episodes. Everything beyond that was kind of meh.

What bothers me about The Outsider is this takes place in a small town in Georgia and nobody living there has a southern accent.

 

There was not one yinzer in the Pitt which is completely ridiculous

 

There’s that big angry guy in the waiting room. That seemed accurate

 

This guy should have been 80% of the cast
