It doesn't open here until next week but I'm looking forward to Mother Mary.

It's David Lowery's new movie for those that didn't know.

  2. Had no idea The Mummy was like 2 hours and 10 minutes long lol that fascinates me. The worst I'm reading about it is basically saying Cronin does another flick in the vein of Evil Dead Rise, which sounds fine to me. Maybe I'm just looking forward to a theater trip since I didn't get to catch Ready or Not 2. Anyways, will be seeing The Mummy tomorrow

There is one sequence in particular that is an absolute blast and he was really flexing his Evil Dead muscles hard haha

I still want to see The Mummy but over two hours for that kind of movie seems excessive so I may wait until it’s out of theaters. I am mostly concerned with it being “mean” because that rarely ever works for me.

I downloaded a couple fan made edits that have the old school JBB interstitials with HD uncut versions of the movies. On my plex if any of you would like an add

did some USA Up All Nights too

  10. I only subscribed for the year due to how expensive it was, and you only get the time-stamped Joe Bob segments to watch-along with the movie, BUT the physical rewards were very worth it. I think I got a mug, a hoodie, a poster, and two blu-rays with restored JBB footage and interviews that wasn't available anywhere else. Not sure how rewards or structure has changed since then (I signed up right when they launched it), but yeah - worth exploring at least.

Watched Ready or Not 2 again last night. Just think it’s a ton of fun.

Nine months later, finally made good on this… wow. Immediately one of my favorites. Can’t believe it took me this long to get to it. That Karloff performance is fascinating on so many levels.

Sound design is awesome but otherwise I think it was a bit underwhelming. You can absolutely do a lot worse though

  17. I missed that one, so to not answer your question at all, I really liked Forbidden Fruits and Mother Mary

If I didn’t see Ella McCay, this would be the worst movie I’ve seen all year.

Had a bachelor party in Louisville this weekend and I’m the last one left because I fly out in 8 hours. Currently ubering to a mall and do a solo bolo showing of The Mummy.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is definitely for the sickos. As far as spectacle, gore, and scares this definitely delivered for me. Story was sorta whatever but that’s alright. Very fun solo trip to da movies.

Also the trailer for Evil Dead Burn was fucking awesome. Holy hell am I excited for that.

  25. i dont think the mummy is for me, sounds kinda mean. i did enjoy the previous two evil deads, mostly, so i will reluctantly show up for the new one.

i might go see faces of death. still on the fence with that one.

over your dead body out this week, then hokum next week. i've been going to see at least a couple new horror/horror-adjacent films each month. been a solid, steady year of releases so far.
