  1. Watched The Reflecting Skin on Prime for our Horror Flick of the Week club and thought it was really, really interesting. Horror-adjacent coming of age film set in the 1950s and starring Viggo Mortensen. Some really beautiful shots, the tone felt like a mix of Lynch and Richard Kelly. Definitely recommend if any of that sounds up your alley.

Loved Demi in the substance but it should go to Mikey for Anora.

Get Out is a fair shout even if it's my least favourite Peele movie personally *ducks*

Us is such an insane barrel of fun and the home invasion in one take is probably the best thing he's directed thus far, I do not understand how people don't have a blast watching that movie. Nope is definitely his best though

Get Out is surprisingly the one i've seen the least, but it is really good. Nope is definitely his best.

  10. Nope just gets better with every watch. Transcends genre and truly is a great film.

we showed Nope to my partner's mother and her fiancee a couple years ago, and her fiancee is still upset that we subjected him to something he just found utterly confusing. don't regret it in the slightest.

he also walked in on us watching Downsizing at one point - which we really didn't like - and once again thought our taste in movies was bad.

although for added context, i remember him saying the last new movie he watched that he really liked was Venom, so do with that what you will.

  21. I'm glad to hear that that will be on Shudder soon enough. That means I don't have to pay $35 for an online ticket to watch it.

I need to see Dead Lover, Opus, Together, and Didn't Die. Do we know if any of those ones have gotten picked up by anywhere yet?
