As much as I loved season 2, it was somewhat of a let down that the over arching story was a mentor for Barry ended up being a faster speedster who was the main bad guy, again. I am glad that this season does not look like the bigger baddie is a mentor of Barry/secret speedster.
This week's episode felt like a good all around episode for all of the team. Also felt like that gave it no dull moments since we were getting so much of everyone this time. Stoked to find out how they handle Caitlin.
So my love for this made me decide to start Arrow. Is there no thread for that show? I couldn't find one.
I hope one season in the future all the Rogues actually team up comic style and are the big season-long bad guys. The after-effects of Flashpoint could've been a great way to get Captain Cold and Heatwave back on the evil side, and they could lead all the Rogues and do something truly devastating, like take out Joe, and the remaining Legends come and reveal to Barry that Cold and Heatwave had become true heroes before he messed with the timeline, and it would be just crushing. O well :)
thought this was another terrific episode. really like the development with malfoy (sorry really blanking on name at the moment) and I enjoyed the Wells twist, was fun and not annoying storytelling with him just being bad. Next week with Wally looks rad.
After falling a little behind, I've caught up on this season. I'm already more interested in Alchemy than I was in Zoom, though Zoom wasn't bad until that plot fell apart in the last leg of the season. Hopefully they stick the landing better this time. Caitlin is becoming Killer Frost! After last season teased me w/ Earth 2 Killer Frost seeming dead, then coming back, then actually dying, I'm really happy about our Caitlin getting powers. I just LOVE Caitlin Snow... lol. I wonder if it'll be revealed that Alchemy is the one behind her change, with her becoming a villain and the team fighting essentially for her soul? Seems like what they're setting up, and I've quite fine with that. Also, Jessie Quick! Wally is gonna get powers (unless this is a mean fake-out)! (Wally and Jessie kissed! ) Barry and Iris are happy (for now at least)! Joe might date someone! A new, weird Wells! So much to like here already. I'm also really into this Julian character. My one request is that, someday, Linda Park comes back in an extended role. She could be a great recurring character for Iris to be besties with, and if Wally is here to stay longterm, they could also give that comic book romance a shot and see if the actors mesh well (even if I do love Wally and Jessie's dynamic).
I've been assuming that Wally would get his powers unlocked but break away from the influence pretty quickly. But, both working with Alchemy at some point could also be cool.
I'm really hoping Caitlyn Snow doesn't turn evil and if she does, then hopefully it's only temporary because I really like her in the show. They could do two things either actually cure her (unlike in the comics), or maybe she could use her powers for good? I just don't want to lose her from the team because I like how she plays off/with the rest of the team.
i don't care about people criticizing the new villain, this episode was awesome. I'm still loving this season. it's got a great mix of modern and silver age feel
