tbf the first shin guard record fits in pretty well to most emo bands, theyve just expanded/changed their sound so much over the years
seems to be one of the reasons for the name change: Shin Guard are now Hazing Over, talk name change, new sound & new EP wild song tho
TBH name change makes sense. If this was "shin guard" id feel alot different, but as a new project, its defiantly just some ignorant hard shit
this is kinda sick tho. post hardcore/screamo with a little bit of la dispute vibes thrown in. LP in february.
Agree, I’m not really a fan of the deathcore ‘bree bree’ revival at all and of all the recent eras of heavy music it’s certainly not one that would be at the top of my list to bring back musically or aesthetically lol. I’ll check this out when it drops but not a patch on their old stuff for me.
Drummers from bands such as Thursday, Minus the Bear, Braid, The Promise Ring, and more playing through Do You Know Who We Are? by Texas Is The Reason in it’s entirety.

I’ve ignored Ian Sweet all this time because the band name made me think it was just another bearded dude playing tedious folk rock. Welp, I’m an idiot.
Come join the hype! I discovered them through a show poster that made me check out who they are and I've been a fan ever since.
