Great reviews for those bands. I knew you'd like then!! Hunter & The Bear are so raw and rocky that it makes for a fantastic album and Colony House are just great to listen to! Going to see Hunter soon in Glasgow and it should be good.

@teebs41 recommended me Foxing - Nearer My God and looking at the post above mine I see I'm not very special tbh!!! But anyway I have listened to Foxing before but am notoriously bad at keeping up with new releases so I appreciated the rec. I thought it was kinda poppy and weird and interesting. The opener has some cool build up moments that come off v grand that would be cool live. My fave track was prob the title track. It feels really big and anthemic. I would say the entire album vibe kinda feels anthemic to me but also kinda small and intimate? Like I could see these songs on a big festival stage or a little club and doing well at both. I'm also notoriously bad for writing reviews for albums I like cause I never know what to say aside from "I like it" but I did like it lol. Was nice to catch up on their new release and this feels like an interesting step for them.

Maybe write up our favourite albums we’ve been given and why they’re our favs, maybe do our top 3. Could then do it again next year for our top 3 of year 2.
