My wife has been walking at a park with a walking trail that goes around a huge pond and has nutria rats.
Peacocks roam around freely at the Detroit Zoo and they will walk up to your table at the concession stand and steal your sandwiches. Ruthless.
There is a great blue heron that hung out in the creek by my last place, I’d walk over on my lunch break and watch it wade around
Seeing a flock of turkeys walking down the middle of a residential urban neighborhood, miles away from any farm or woods or zoo where they could have plausibly come from, is always a highlight. I see it probably once a year in the middle of the Twin Cities
