What do you think? Debating going to St. Louis to see black swan. But can I drive 5 hours to St. Louis on Friday, see black swan, and then drive 5 hours back the following morning to see Starset with my wife for her birthday (which I already have the tickets for?) Keep in mind that would mean I spend half her birthday driving back and then probably have to race to Starset. also keep in mind I’m not in my 20s anymore lol
I want to but that’s a lot of driving and rushing Around to do on the wife’s birthday. Sadly think I’ll miss it
Not sure if someone posted something about it, but... The Constant turned 10. These all still slap. I still remember my first listen, being slightly disappointed as I expected heavier material. 15 year old me had a difficult time acknowledging their poppy side, and wanted them to recreate In The Wake Of Determination or The Black Swan's bsides over and over again. Over the last decade, it has grown on me to the point it's currently one of my favorite albums. Kind of surprised they're not doing an anniversary show, but I suppose it was a flop for them right? I remember thinking I'm Alive was an attempt at a Page Avenue-y hit, but I'm not sure it worked in the end.
Black Swan is their best album. But I didn't think it was wildly loved... Reason for a full Black Swan show now?
Pretty sure the band isn't on good terms with him at all. Does anyone know what happened between them? I heard something about his wife having an affair with a politician or something like that.
I don't remember if it was his wife or Ryan's wife that had an affair, but their two wives are sisters so it probably caused friction between them.
I back up @mattylikesfilms Wolves didn’t stick with me for a nanosecond and I find it boring if I ever remember that it was released and listen to it. Page Avenue sounds like a neutered SOTY. I may give it spins here and there, but that’s due to nostalgia.
