I don't 100% use Spotify for my music listening but my top artist is 38 Spesh and my most played song Circle the Drain by Soccer Mommy. Sounds about right although it says I apparently haven't listened to it on there since February haha.

 

So Spotify wrapped is 365 days from when it calculates, so it includes all of your last December too. So for me, my top artists according to Spotify were:
1. Protest the Hero
2. Dance Gavin Dance
3. Deftones
4. Taylor Swift
5. Caligula's Horse

but according to last.fm calculating from January 1, it is:
1. Protest the Hero
2. Dance Gavin Dance
3. Deftones
4. Caligula's Horse
5. Tame Impala

I listened to Taylor's Lover a lot in December last year, so I guess that explains the discrepancy. Anyway, yeah, my last.fm is more accurate. I love music stats.

TWDY & Sufjan eked 'em out just because they both put out multiple albums mid-quarantine, but On Circles was my #1 album by a longshot.

 

It seems to me that the wrapped is from January to end of October. I listened to a crap load of Fugazi in November and it didn’t even make it to the top 100. And last December I listened to 4aem by Grimes way more than any other song and it didn’t crack the top 10.

 

Anybody look through that Only You feature they rolled out today? Not sure I understand the point or relevancy, but all I know is my entire Instagram story feed has been the “Audio Birth Chart” thing like all day haha

I just checked it out and didn't even get a birth chart thing. It asked me to invite 3 guests to a dinner party.

Seems odd, but fine. What I really enjoy is that Spotify picked up on my affinity for Eddie Murphy’s “Party All the Time” during the time travel bit.

I never understand the big deal about Spotify Wrapped...like, did people forget what they listened to?
