This thread got me listening to them last night. Vol. 3 was my shit back in high school, but I’ve never listened to Iowa. The Herectic Anthem is a jam. I’ve had it on repeat this morning.

Iowa was just a whirlwind of the craziest shit coming together for all of them

 

That main riff in Solway Firth is absolutely killer, can't wait to see that live

 

I feel very confident in thinking this will be their masterpiece

 

Metal heads and “real” fans will call it too poppy and mainstream.

 

Banging through the albums for the first time in a long time and I think this my ranking:

Nothing's topping Iowa but I feel confident about this record.

 

Yea Iowa will probably always be my favorite but I haven't disliked an album from them yet and this one is shaping up to be great

I'll be that guy. I prefer s/t to Iowa. And I'm not the biggest fan of Solway Firth but it has grown on me. But I fucking love Unsainted. Still extremely hyped for this album.

 

Just started a discography listen in prep for this. On Iowa (my fav). But man, Eeyore is WILD. I remember hearing that for the first time and the double bass blew me away

If I had the option, I would have the Disasterpiece live album be my number three.

 

The Disasterpiece version of "Gently" might actually be my #1 favorite Slipknot track.

Been watching a lot of Jay Weinberg drum cam vids lately. Seems like a real dream job.

I want to hear more Drew! Fast songs vs slower? Jay Weinberg has sounded more “comfortable” on the singles so far, how’s he compare to the last one? Joey Jordison was a beast and that’s always what drew me to Slipknot

 

Weinberg rules on this and really all the songs save for maybe “Pain” and the interludes are fast and intense - I posted some thoughts in my supporter forum thread
