It's a weird narrative, stop being heteronormative Avril, also ballerina girl randomly becomes a single mom and her friends are assholes
it's 2018 Ian we're gender swapping all the characters, challenging all the norms. sk8er girl and ballerina boi. diversity of expression
Hell yeah! I skated a ton when i was younger and stopped for YEARS. This year is my first year back and I’m basically re learning and it’s been so much fun. (I’m 24 btw) You just have to be patient have fun, not compare yourself to others and not care what people think
I kinda sorta could skate when I was younger but not very fast and I could only Ollie sometimes so I was essentially useless yknow. I'm scared of dumb shit like hurting myself how do I either a)prevent this or b) minimize the damage
90% of my heel flip attempts result in me almost nutting myself and i don’t know why Sometimes I can fakie kickflip better than i can kickflip Yeah getting hurt is scary. Learning how to fall is actually really important lol
It was basically my life from like the eighth grade to the tenth but I was never very good at it. I'll always love the culture though, and still use my board to get around. Wheels are super small and worn down, so I need a new set-up but at that point I'll feel like I'm committing to more than just using it as transportation and I'm not sure I'm ready to suck again
Hell yeah! have yall been watching the Jamie Thomas podcast? The Ed Templeton episode the other day was so good.
Didn't catch the Ed Templeton episode but both the Chad Muska and Chris Joslin episodes were good. Undecided so far on the show as a whole, 9club does it better.
9 club is great, but what I like about Jamie’s podcast is like the muska and templeton episode especially he has this deep history with them that they discuss and it’s a super interesting dynamic. Like hearing ed and Jamie talk about the early toy machine days is awesome. I bruised underneath my fingernails skating today. I came up off a bank and was trying to 50 a ledge but I didn’t move forward enough, so my trucks clipped and then I slid off, and when I slid off my back foot landed in my tail which launched my board into my finger tips lol
My name is Connor and I skateboard. I started when I became friends with the sk8er bois in 7th grade. Skated till I was like 18ish then fell out of it. When i turned 27 my wife bought me a new deck and stuff. I started relearning. I’m now 29 and i am mediocre and get referred to as a “grown up” at the skate park.
