What are you into? Skateboarding? Snowboarding? Surfing? BMX? Motocross? Xtreme Pogo Sticking? Whatever it may be, you can talk about it here. Whether you're nailing lipslides down 10 stair rails or can barely work Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, if you have an interest in talking about or following action sports, this is a place you can partake in discussion about anything under the action sports sun. Videos you've seen, tricks you've landed, spots you've found, pros you like, contests you're watching, how badly you're aching for a Skate 4 video game, whatever's occupying your mind.

This should go without saying, but just to make it clear, be nice to each other and be respectful. Action sports can be intimidating, I'm sure many of us know what it's like to walk into a skateshop as a kid and feel judged by people with more experience in skating than us. This is a welcoming space for anyone with even the slightest interest in the amazing world of action sports, a world made up of the awesome spheres of skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, and so much more. So be cool to each other.

    Enjoy.

Mostly this thread was created so I could say "fuck my knees ache" after I spent most of this morning trying to ollie a sizable gap in my neighborhood. It's not the biggest drop in the world, maybe five or six feet, but man, spend 30-40 minutes jumping it and your joints will end up yelling at you. Hopefully the weather stays hospitable so I can nail it before I have to leave the area.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has heard of or is into snowskating, from what I've heard it's more a Michigan/Canada thing, where it's a sort of hybrid between snowboarding and skateboarding. My roommate got a snowskate (this brand) for his birthday last year and we did a lot of it last winter. It's super fun, and I might even slightly prefer it to snowboarding just because it takes way less prep time. If I want to go snowboarding I have to set aside a day to do it, with snowskating I can just put on some snowpants and go out into the city and find spots. You don't get the speed or air you get with a snowboard on a mountain, but it can be a really fun time once you get the hang of it.

And this is the first time I've created a thread on a forum so if this ends up being something people participate in, let me know how to update the OP to be in line other thread OPs, informative and welcoming and all that while staying up to date with whatever people are doing.

Got on my powell mini logo for the first time in a while today. How great it is to rock a heel flip first try...especially in work clothes.

Finally got around to watching the Bones Brigade documentary last night. Absolutely loved Rodney Mullen's segments..the guy has such a warm soul and he's super inspiring. I'd highly recommend it if you haven't seen it already.
