Well, between his strict eating habits and what I can imagine Max's eating habits are, I can see why they had a falling-out. (Sorry, had to.)
See at one point I would have loved if Coby joined again, now I don't know. Haha His drumming was pretty top notch though.
I'll always be sad I never got to see him drum live, but a guest spot drumming on some album would be cool eventually. He does look/sound nuts, though.
If any of you are interested in Two Tongues, found more info on the release on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KA4MTZ4/?tag=absolutepunk-20 It seems the next album will simply be titled "Two" and it comes out on October 14th. Tracklist: 1. Azalea 2. Truly 3. Barcelona 4. U.S. 5. Scorpio 6. S.O.S.S.O.L. 7. We Can Work 8. Veuve Clicquot 9. Bateman 10. Interlude Two 11. Black Hole
Yeah, it's weirdly grouped with the original. Kinda like how Say Anything's self-titled is grouped with some 90's hip-hop album. haha
Two Tongues would be awesome if Chris did all the songwriting and sang while Max just played guitar. But sadly, that is not the case.
Eh, that's pretty much just Saves The Day then. Saves The Day is my favorite band, but I like Two Tongues having the Chris/Max dynamic. :)
Max is a great guitarist but a terrible songwriter, hence why id rather him just contribute some great guitar parts to TT instead of also singing and writing songs. but thats just me
Azalea is kind of awful. If Princess and Varicose Visage didn't exist, I'd say this is the worst song Max has done.
I feel the opposite, ha. Right now though I don't think there's any way I could like it until Max gets over his lofi phase.
And I guess I'm the weirdo, because I love those songs too. I was pissed when they didn't play "Varicose Visage" at the Philly show a few months ago.
Bad song. But really I have a hard time listening to anything Max is apart of given his extremely problematic nature. I just want new Saves The Day
Wtf were they thinking? Granted, I only listened on my phone (which doesn't benefit the lofi-ish production), but still. What an odd direction to go...
