saves $$$ if you take you’re time, you can at least make an interesting sounding lo-fi record, it not an outright great sounding one
I hope that mix was an April fool's joke. I got the lofi vibe on TT and IDTIS but if these cost thousands of dollars from the Kickstart to produce.. how did the Dormroom Demos sound like high grade production compared to this?
i thought i read something on twitter about sending the new perma album off to be mixed... maybe it's not his mix?
Haven't heard it all, but I'm listening to the snippets of each song. And yes, so far the mixing and recording sounds absolutely atrocious.
I'm listening to Anarchy, My Dear and for a record I fucking hated when it dropped I would probably say I like it a lot now. I only really dislike Admit It Again, and everything else is pretty fun and interesting to listen to. It can be cheesy but I think this is the last time where Max's cheese was still acceptable, and everything after this is kind of too cheesy for my tastes. Night's Song is an all time SA song as well And the title track is really neat
Overbiter is great but the rest can't hold a candle to the self-titled Eloise might be his best song period
Ahhh Men is a much better closer imo and Cemetery is his best song. Anarchy is my least fav for sure ignoring IDTII.
Cemetery! Honestly I'd probably put The Church Channel over anything on IARB now too and WARB hasn't aged very well with me.
Hmmm interesting choices, definitely solid songs. Idk I think either Yellow Cat or The Writhing South is the top for me!
