I honestly have no idea. Cemetery Baby Girl, I'm A Blur The Futile Belt Death For My Birthday The Writhing South Every Man Has A Molly This Is Fucking Ecstasy About Falling Peace Out I tried to grab songs that I love from across his catalog but could probably just grab 10 songs from IARB when it's on. That album is honestly just so special. I remember listening to "Belt" for the first time and just being blown away by everything from the sardonic spoken word introduction to the impressionistic lyrics to the gang chants at the end. It's (obviously for a lot of us) the kind of song where you're convinced that this band is something special. Then "Woe" came on and I realized, "oh... so this guy/band can do ANYTHING."
How "The Writhing South" didn't have a second life as everyone's favorite Guitar Hero song is beyond me.
Favorite Say Anything memory: I first saw them play in 2004 (I believe). It was with Straylight Run, Hot Rod Circuit, and Northstar. The venue they played in was so small, all the bands were forced to played acoustic sets instead. At that point, I had only heard Say Anything from a sampler ep (I think woe and glory were the two tracks). Grabbed a free poster at the merch table that he signed. I remember he didn't seem suuppper happy. It's one of those shows that I would have appreciated so much more had I known IARB and that Defense and S/T were on the horizon.
I saw Say Anything and Recover open for Armor For Sleep at this super tiny 150-200 cap venue here in SLC. Suuuuch a fun show!
Cemetery Yellow cat/red cat Try to remember, forget The futile All choked up The church channel About falling Plea I want to know your plans Belt I didn’t think about this very much but I’m pretty sure it would be similar to this.
1. Eloise 2. Admit It!!! 3. Woe 4. An Insult to the Dead 5. Rum Cemetery is close Nothing from Anarchy or Hebrews is
I actually love IDTII but probably wouldn't place any of its songs in my top ten. I considered a few but none felt right like my choices or backups did.
Normally I'm not that big on instrumentals, but Max is such an innovative guitarist that I would love that. Most lead guys either sacrifice melody to show off or play something melodic and simple, but Max strikes that perfect balance. He can write a guitar lick as catchy and meaningful to the song as Blue Album era Weezer, but he applies his technical prowess in such a creative way that it packs an extra punch, like in Cemetery and Do Better. Also would have loved an extra verse... but maybe part of the beauty of Fed to Death is that it gives you just enough angst-ridden poppy goodness that you just have to play it over and over again.
God I really, really hope not. Feel like that could be a big blow to Max considering the importance of this one and the things he's still struggling with.
i didnt see anything on twitter, which i feel like is where something like this would have some clout
If it’s just one of those fake leak sites that you get loads of when you type in the name/artist of any upcoming album, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about.
I feel like there’s still the occasional oddball of an album that leaks 2 months early these days. And considering the original release date for this one was in October, I’d say it’s at least within the realm of possibility.
pure comedy was like three months out and gods favorite customer was definitely over a month out when apple music accidentally put it on streaming for one minute, long enough for it to get ripped
