Listening to the WTSMG b sides today. What a run of songs.

I can only imagine a Gallagher brother statement on the Queen dying.

 

I have the 20th anniversary editions of their first 3 albums on my phone (removing the demos and live tracks) and it's such a phenomenal run of songs. The first two albums in particular, joined with the b-sides, are essentially great double albums.

Thanks, I still keep mp3's/m4a's of everything (thanks pirate sites) even though I have a Spotify account. Reissues are awesome, particularly for UK bands who tend to have an excessive amount of non-album material. Missed opportunity for Coldplay to reissue their first two albums with all the b-sides collected (though I suppose they are all already on streaming services).

i thought the potato squashed Liam using any Oasis tracks for the Knebworth release?

 

If I'm understanding correctly Noel wouldn't sign off on Oasis songs in the Liam Knebworth documentary film. BUT they got the songs cleared for the one night only concert film.

I finally watched the Oasis Knebworth film last week. Man I would've killed to have been there.

Evidently Liam lapping basically every HFB release finally got to him.


I remember him saying ‘I don’t care. As long as I get my check, he can play whatever songs of mine he wants…’ multiple times over the years.

 

I used to always think Liam was the problem and the older I get it seems the other way around?

During the pandemic Liam was doing PSAs to stop the spread, while Noel was going on anti-mask and anti-lockdown rants.

So yeah, I've definitely been swayed to think that Noel's actually the prick in that relationship lol

 

it helps that liam is funny and noel is boringly self-serious

 

I genuinely think Noel has become more and more bitter in the last five years or so that Liam is now who the general public thinks about when they think about Oasis.

He’s losing hold of the legacy, and whether he ever wants to admit it or not, that matters to him.

In addition to being an idiot during Covid and with Brexit.

His new single is out today. Definitely one of his better songs in recent years. New album out in June.

I don’t think an oasis reunion will ever happen, but certainly not anytime soon. He’s got a whole album cycle to do.

 

Dig the new song. I know it’s divisive to complain about this, but the June release pissed me off!
