I am not overly smart and it has been a long time since I have watched any of the Matrix movies, and I honestly thought this convo was about The Matrix Revolutions (2003) until about one second ago.

 

I mean, it being more of a love story and Neo basically only using the force in the third act, I get why people could be disappointed by it.

 

Right, I think it’s great but can totally understand if someone is like mmmm not for me

I just wouldn’t want a redo of the original trilogy after so long personally

 

Yea, it really worked for me. I really liked it. But that, too. I think it’s different enough, but I would get that as a complaint.

If anyone wants to join, in the Horror Thread we're creating a Halloween/October watch list kinda similar to Hooptober, if you're familiar.

Maybe I'm biased but I haven't seen anything by the Wachowskis that I didn't like

 

I didn't care for Jupiter Ascending. Other than that, I like everything I've seen from them. Matrix Resurrections rules.

 

Cloud Atlas was kind of a mess but I still enjoyed it. Not the easiest book to translate to the screen.

 

The four episode CGI Resident Evil series on Netflix was pretty good. It stars Claire and Leon and it’s actually canon, taking place between games 4 and 5. I think it’s more for fans of the games.

The Oceans episode of Wild Isles on prime was incredible. There are several moments that are visually mesmerizing. Highly recommend it to any nature doc fans.

 

I just finished Jury Duty. What an incredible show and finale.

It just makes me feel old. I’m like that movie just came out a few years ago… more like 20

 

My grandma went thru a phase of buying bootleg dvds and mailing them to us and I have fond memories of watching the bootleg Mr and Ms Smith
