Been bummed their show here in Minneapolis is 21+ but I just found out they'll be doing an in store acoustic set/signing at my local record store so I'm very excited for that

Down in the valley in golden valley at noon (). Electric fetus is also fantastic, loved the in store sessions from lights and taking back sunday I've attended there

 

My CD copy is coming today so I'm very excited to finally dig in.

 

If my brother doesn't end up coming with me to the mwY show and I'm running solo, I'm definitely taking the day off of work to drive up for this. Sorry you can't make it to the show, wish there was something I could do to help. I've missed quite a few shows due to that (although that was a long time ago.) Turf Club is a great venue for small shows but I wish Triple Rock still existed.

 

Triple rock was killer. Man you are all making me miss MPLS.

 

Bonus points for Hard Times Cafe being right around the corner. Saw some great shows at that venue. mwY with Foxing. Dear Hunter with Chon and Gates. Dear Hunter with Kay Kay and O'Brother. Pianos Become the Teeth. Was super bummed when I found out they were closing.

Curious, would anyone describe mwY as a "headphones" band?

 

What does that mean

 

This album is exactly what I needed from them. I think this may be their second best.

 

I'm guessing it means "settle in with some crazy awesome studio quality headphones to hear all of the detail" kinda band.

My answer: I think any band worth anything deserves at least one listen with that kind of concentration and attention paid to the details.
