Do I smell a pre-new album song ranking starting.

 

I am hopeful that this record is super noisy.

They could totally be just going for the Twin Peaks limited series transitions feel in the teases, but I’m optimistic given CM’s association with Alan Moulder, and the fact that she at least consulted on the sound of something with him (even if it just sounded like it was completely in passing).


What I’m trying to say is, I want this record to shatter my windows.

do we think this continues the story from Black Mile? or just similar art style?

 

While I do enjoy that song I agree it didn’t belong on the album. My somewhat confirmed theory is I Know How To Speak was supposed to be there instead but wasn’t finished in time.

 

less paranormal alien, more spiritual apocalyptic.

 

I know how to speak just sounds too much like alien/sunshine. Maybe it was just too samey? I wouldn't be surprised if it came out of the same session of trying to figure out how to put the three together. It's still one of my all time favorites.

 

Yeah its crazy how I Know How to Speak is the best song from that album cycle (or their entire catalogue imo) and it didn't even get on the album.

 

that's the thing that makes the track for me! It also comes at a great time in the album. Just sounds so perfectly like someone losing their marbles after contemplating all of the other stuff in the lyrics on the album up until that point.

 

interesting. My theory has always been that it was the original closer but got bumped by the silence. It just always felt like a closing track to me.

Everything they post just makes me feel like this song is going to be huge.

 

The artwork on the website reminds me of the cover from the new Bright Eyes album.

 

Assuming preorders will start when the countdown ends, it's going to be a 5am start in the UK, MO maybe the only band who'll get me up that early lol
