Saw her in Portland, ME the other night and it made me realize what an absolute doofus I am for sleeping on this album. Really clicked for me in a live setting. Also, the two new songs she played were excellent.
She did two?! "Don't Forget Me" had a great, memorable chorus when I saw her in Philly, gotta seek out the other one.
I didn't realize she did a third in Forest Hills! LP3 shaping up nice, we'll see how that spoken interlude ages but right now it's perfectly charming and she should try screenwriting.
She was incredible at Red Rocks last night. Definitely one of the better performances I’ve seen in a while. My only critique is I wish the show was longer. Don’t forget me sounds great. I can’t wait for the record.
this post made me reflect on all the years past. i used to work for FYE and i was fortunate enough to have worked a bunch of festivals and conventions through the company. i was watching someone at lolla (dont remember who it was) and as i was walking back to work i caught the end of maggies set, i noticed her from her flowing outfit. when i got back to work (our tent) she was pretty much already done signing her line, it was a lot of walking to get back there or she didn't have a long line so she went through it pretty quickly, i walked up to her and told her i caught the end of her set and i enjoyed what i heard, she asked if i wanted to hear more and i said sure! so she gave me a copy of her EP, signed it for me and we grabbed a pic together. maggie is the biggest sweetheart in the world and i hope if anyone gets to meet her they have a similar experience :)
