I didn't think it would be easy to top Sprained Ankle, but if Appointments reflects the rest of the album then wow.
not to drive it far out, but that whole Frightened Rabbit EP is perfect, Julien really fits on that second song!
I didn't want to listen to any more songs before the release, but she's made a video for it, and I generally know it from the concerts, so.... I've listened to it like 20 times probably ;d it's great, though I miss some raw details from her performances of that tune, but I'll probably get used to it, same as it was with Funeral Pyre.
Received an email saying my vinyl is in the mail. So stoked for this. I haven't listened to the single yet. Been purposely avoiding it, but based off y'alls opinions, it sounds like I am in for a treat.
Two of my friends who have never listened to her music before are going to take a two hour road trip with me on Wednesday to see her play. I m very excited
I'll be there, and alone since my friend bailed. Feel free to hit me up so we can grab a drink and discuss how perfect the show is going to be!
Sorry I didn’t see this, I had to drive to and from Ottawa and didn’t brig my phone with me. How perfect was that show??
It was perfection. As good as it gets. Where were you standing? I was pretty much right up at the stage just to the left of Julien. I said it in one of the other threads but I've been to 30 shows this year, and this was by far the most powerful of them all. The amount of times I got goosebumps or teary-eyed was insane.
I was up at the stage too, directly in front of her when she was at the piano. I really loved the openers too, especially Common Holly
We were probably within 6 feet of each other and had no idea haha. I missed Common Holly but Half Waif was great!
