I will be 25 tomorrow. Too bad I lost my job a couple weeks ago so I can't do much. I am still excited.

 

I just bought this jacket I've been eyeing at Old Navy for a while.

I spent an hour or two looking around all the Old Navy's in town but none had it so I had to buy it online.

I'm already having that why did I buy this because winter doesn't exist here in California.

Started a new job today of all days. I did not want to be around people.

I got promoted, and I'm proposing next month.

It was a weird day yesterday. It was rainy (live in Pennsylvania) and except from the occasional downpour, everything felt still and quiet. I went to bed at about 4:45am and woke up at 9am. I didn't go anywhere (I work from home anyway) and besides watching the movie Green Room before falling asleep at about 11pm, I don't remember just a weirder day. Thanks America, our weirdest and more fucked days are just to come.

 

Leonard Cohen passed. 2016 is the absolute worst year I've ever experienced.

 

It is truly an awful year

 

I asked for time off a week advance instead of two weeks in advance so they didn't give it to me wnd now I'm sad.

I'm going to miss my family's annual charity horseshoe tournament for my grandma. This is now me learning to not be a dummy about it.

 

Y'ALL. my brother in law has gone through leukemia and stuff. he always made fun of "scene" music for being emo and stuff when we were in hs, but he found out about Jack's Mannequin and that Andrew had similar struggles so we were listening to Swim in the car and he had to turn it off cause it hit too close to home and we were all trying not to cry omg. now he wants to check out the rest of Andrew's stuff!

 

Is your brother in law in remission/ doing better?

 

One of my close friends is super into anything Andrew McMahon that she got super emotional hearing him on the radio in his new project.

I really wish I could get into more of his music but I only really like a few Jack Mannequin songs.

 

He's doing well! he had a transplant and he's done with chemo so now they're monitoring him and weaning him off the prednisone. it's mostly just like psychological stuff that's hard on him now. scared of it coming back, ptsd, anxiety, depression stuff. they had to move to pdx to be close to ohsu cause our hospitals here suck, but they're able to move back early next year and my sister is going to go back to school so I think it'll be good!
