It's just a pub. Nothing too fancy. The people in our area don't have the best palates, so it's gonna be tough to figure out what I want to put on the menu and what I should put on the menu.

When I watched this yesterday, all I could think was that those are the two most Italian men I've ever seen

 

I had such a sudden urge for pizza after watching that video.

 

I'm eating at a vegan place and this sandwich I'm having his bomb.

 

They called it the Philly Vegan Sandwich.

It was a sandwich with vegan beef slices, lettuce, tomato, mustard and vegan cheese.

I was dying because of how good it was.

 

I let my nephew pick out lunch today. He's a classy guy!

 

I just ordered 4lbs of bacon from Benton's. Excited to see if the hype over it is real and how much better it is than regular bacon.

 

Anyone ever have any issues with cast iron on a glass top range? I'm moving soon to a place with one and I don't want to have to put my favorite cooking tools in storage.

 

Did it for years. No issues.

What issues did they have? You mean an electric stove with a glass top, right?

 

Yes. People claimed that the cast iron would scratch the surface, melt the glass, fuse with the glass. Things like that.

 

I never even considered that happening. This was a simple GE electric stove and oven, probably cost $500-750? My brother had the apartment before me and used cast iron as well. I would use an enamel cast iron dutch oven and a regular cast iron skillet. I was gentle with it but took no other precautions. I'd crank the heat to sear steaks, burgers, chicken, I'd tilt the skillet to baste food in butter, heat it up on very high heat. I had no issues. Just don't drop or slam your cast iron on it and it should be good. The glass on top is fine with the hot burner next to it, so I don't see how cast iron would ever fuse to the glass... it seems weird to me that this is even an issue haha.

In short, just don't drop it or drag it around the surface and you'll be fine. I cooked on that stove for over 2 years and had no issues at all.

 

If you're that concerned about it, you can check what the manufacturer of the stove has to say, but it should be fine. I also found this:

I have tried other boxed macaronis and Kraft is just always superior. Every other brand I've gotten has sucked.

And I know kraft is not the pinnacle of macaroni I love homemade too but kraft serves a different purpose so don't @ me!!!

 

Burgers with fried eggs are overrated af let’s be real. The egg overpowers.

 

I like burgers with fried egg. They're just messy sometimes.
