Also idk if anyone else here follows her on IG or not, but she’s been doing a fun livestream series over the last couple of months where she and a guest sit in their bathtubs and have a chat, haha. Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers, Frances Quinlan, Lili Trifilio, and Christian Lee Hutson have all been guests, among others. I believe she saves them to the IGTV tab on her feed
I just downloaded the two standalone singles this week to get ready for this! Lol “To be a woman pt 2” is okay, but “Hypochondriac” is great. Excited for this and new Keaton Henson tomorrow.
Jfc this is so good. If I had to name an immediate top three, none of the singles would be in there. Really a perfect move for her, not too different from the last one but the songs are definitely stronger overall. A lot of these melodies are extremely catchy
I’m not afraid to die, more so to be alive me needing this song in 2020 is far outweighing me being unable to separate this melody and chord progression from I Will Follow You Into The Dark
This is great! I Used To Hate My Body But Now I Just Hate You is my favorite at the moment and such a beautiful song.
On first listen it’s definitely less catchy and immediate than On Hold, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It takes a lot more unexpected and weirder turns with stuff. My early favorites are “Birthday” and “I, Nietzsche.” The back half of the album seemed to drag a little bit too, but I’m hoping to spend more time with it and get to know those songs a little more.
Have definitely listened to this at least every other day or so since the 18th so far. Replay value on the last one was super high but I can see myself coming back to this one even more in the long run
