Lights Camera Jackson is still doing his act even though he is in his early twenties. No one has stopped him yet.

 

Going to watch my first Tartovsky tonight, which one should I start with? Between Stalker and Solaris but open to suggestions

 

Solaris is a lot easier to get into. It is probably the best Tarkovsky film to start with; Ivan's Childhood is his most conventional, but it is not representative of his work as a whole.

 

A film should be every single take played in sequential order so that it’s up to us as the audience to decide which ones are the best

 

Seriously don’t like the idea of “director’s cut” becoming a thing.

 

This is the result of caving to the superhero fanatics, and for what? The best case scenario was a Zack Snyder superhero film. It isn't as if this was going to be on par with Welles' original version of The Magnificent Ambersons.

 

I ended up watching Stalker. Absolutely incredible and stunning. Ill be thinking about this for days, and interesting timing considering Easter/Good Friday.

Only watched it once but hard to find any flaw with it. Pretty funny that he purposefully jokes by drawing a direct line to the “boredom” the viewer gets to the Writer as a critique of the viewing experience

 

Shiva Baby was one of the most uncomfortable movies I've seen in a while, but also very good

 

Watched it on Friday and loved it. Definitely claustrophobic but I also laughed quite a bit. Probably don’t need to spoiler tag this but just in case Dianna Agron’s character mispronouncing rugelach as arugula killed me

 

it was definitely one of the most Jewish movies I've ever seen, and yeah def claustrophobic and Fred Melamed was the only one who wasn't the worst haha

Godzilla vs. Kong was also very fun

 

there is no reason for any movie to exceed the 90-120 minute mark

 

(it's 2hrs 16min)

 

If I didn’t look at that guy’s account I would have figured he was joking. Saying you want to watch Mortal Kombat for the fleshed out character development is a good bit

 

It's not a joke? I only read that as a joke
