it’s pan for me. i don’t fully love his filmography but i always love what he pushes to do as a filmmaker. super interesting guy, though he’s not my favorite.

Devil's Backbone and Cronos are personal favorites, Pan's Labryinth I haven't seen since high school but was into at the time. Pacific Rim is super fun, and I did like Shape of Water though still think its award success is strange.

Never seen any of his Hellboys, and missed Crimson Peak.

    Crimson Peak is awesome.

Pacific Rim is the only on I don't love, and even that I like.

    Man.

This is a rough one for me.

I think Pan's Labyrinth is his masterwork, but Pacific Rim just makes me so goddamned happy.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

    Pan's Labyrinth is a classic.

Hellboy holds a special place in my heart - one of the first "great" comic book films I saw, especially before nolan's batman trilogy

He's one of those directors I respect more than I love. He has a unique imagination, and a great sense of style, but the films themselves are usually just okay for me. Pan's Labyrinth is definitely the standout.

I cannot believe I kept watching this show. It starts out so fucking strong but goes nowhere but downhill.

  14. The Hellboy movies are cool, and they certainly stand out more and more as the genre becomes more homogenized. Pacific Rim is a cool idea that just doesn't surpass "fine" in execution for me. I think Shape of Water is great and bizarre and the discourse around it would be much more positive if it wasn't canonized as a Best Picture winner.

Pan's Labyrinth is the masterpiece and one of the greatest films of all time. I'll watch everything Guillermo makes simply because of how good that movie is.

He has an interesting filmography with imaginative ideas and somehow nostalgic that makes me feel like a kid again. His movies don't always hit, but I appreciate the ways he makes his films. For me, it's between Pan's Labyrinth and Crimson peak.

Pan’s Labyrinth is a true work of art, the ending genuinely made me cry. Also love TSOW, it deserved that BP Oscar.

Pan’s Labyrinth is my all time favourite film. It’s the historical backdrop with the gothic fairytale elements - the perfect combination for me. I love it.
