Got a lot of good films there but Fringe stood out most to me most since I am currently rewatching all five seasons for only the second time, not seen any of them since they first came out.
Got quite a lot during March but I am predicting that April is going to be an even bigger month with all of the Easter sales that are occurring.
Ugh I wish I had as much shelf space as y'all so I could collect more. The silver lining of me having no space is that my wallet is happier ha.
A little weeks worth of random pick ups. Amazon ended up sending me the DVD of Cat People instead of the Blu-ray, so I suppose I have both now. I'm also really excited to see this 4K transfer of the Ten Commandments, I've heard nothing but great things! These are all blind buys too
I wish we got that Event Horizon release over here, I know it is flawed but I do still really rather enjoy it.
it's a blind buy for me, I feel like I've always heard so much negativity surrounding that movie but with this release it seems like everyone loves it. I took a gamble though cause Sam Neil is great. I'm honestly shocked Arrow never released that
I’ve gone very overboard the last month. Need to take some pictures, but I’ve found some new (to me) sites that really impressed me and made me want to splurge.
Sam Neill is great and he is that film, found myself watching more of his stuff in the last few years with Sleeping Dogs being his first leading role way back in 1977 where even in that he put on a superb performance. Event Horizon definitely does seem like the kind of film Arrow would release so I am equally shocked they haven't. Same here, been opting to go direct to companies that release more obscure films on Blu-ray/4K where their deals are better and more is seemingly available over just going to Amazon or Zavvi.
Yeah ever since I got my promotion in the end of December I've been going a bit overboard. I've got a good chunk of stuff this month I've gotta post
I may have bought a bit too much during April... ...and to top it all off I finally plucked up the courage to get the following in all its glory
I bought so much in April, not going to over do it, since you can't post more than 10 pics apparently so not pictured: Criterion edition Cat People, Scream Factory editions of Event Horizon & Phantom of the Paradise, Arrow editions of the Sister Street fighter collection and re-release of the Solid Metal Nightmares boxset! Also a ton from the Kino and Warner Archive sales. Also, on top of that most excitingly I finally got a region free player!
@michael_gatto Have you had any issues with the Donnie Darko 4K? Arrow put out a statement last month saying there were apparently frame rate issues that some people were having.
I got hit by that. The director’s cut is fine but the theatrical is unwatchable. Hope getting a replacement isn’t difficult.
The cover is the reason I bought the Canadian version of the Blu-ray. Couldn't pass that up. And it came with the soundtrack and trading cards
I haven't had the chance to watch it yet personally. Been watching through a bunch of other stuff, I also heard it happens on Sony players and consoles, and my main 4K player is my PS5 so I'm not too hopeful that my disc isn't one of the ones that has the issues.
I've got a bunch of new stuff to post soon, but this just got to me after a month in customs so I have to show off how amazing it is. V impressed with this.
Went kinda wild on that Easter sale from Arrow, and then these 2 are from Best Buy yesterday. Love the art on the Raya Steelbook. And LAH is one of my favorite of Arnold's
Arrow is a label I severely overlooked for years, that sale was the perfect opportunity to play some catch up. I've also only seen a handful of those, so I'm pumped to dive into a bunch.
I overlooked them as well up until three or four years ago and now they are the biggest label in my collection, July is going to be so great with their new releases.
Yeah I have a lot of them now, and I already have the 2 new Argento 4Ks preordered along with Django 4K and the Daimajin set!
The Daimajin set can't come soon enough as I have only seen those films in a low-quality format on some shady website, so it is going to be great to see them in a much higher quality.
