As Cold As It Gets has to be one of the most heartbreaking songs I've ever heard. His cover is just as powerful as the original.

I know it's taboo on this site, but his first solo record is still my favorite album he's released

 

What's taboo about it? Genuinely curious cause it's lovely.

 

Thrice is just so beloved on this site, and elsewhere of course, that liking his 8-song solo release more than all Thrice records is not common

 

I should go back to school for reading comprehension! I don't think it is his overall best but I do love it!

 

I think Beggars is pretty easily the best thing Kensrue/Thrice has done, but I’d definitely put his second solo album in the top three. So, definitely interested in this.

Every time the idea of solo Kensrue comes up from now ‘til forever, I’ll wonder about that project he was teasing for years that his brother who was in Eye Alaska was gonna be part of.
