Food House (Gupi and Fraxiom), any other PC folks (AG Cook, Hannah Diamond, Danny L Harle, umru, Namasenda, and others), Tommy Cash. Basically anyone featured on the Dorian and gecs projects from this. Then there’s more tangentially related artists like Shygirl, Cecile Believe, and Sega Bodega. Or artists who have been produced by folks like AG or Danny. I would honestly recommend flipping through the Apple Music Glitch playlist or Spotify’s Hyperpop one. They’re pretty hit or miss but I’ve had lots of great finds that don’t really get covered by most music publications. and yes, definitely SOPHIE. But she’s kind of in a world of her own at this point.
First listen in and this is much much darker than I was expecting but ram it down is a fucking macabre banger
Wow I love this, mad it took me so long to listen. I wasn’t really into Edgelord when I heard it way back but it fits really well here.
I love that Rebecca Black is on it. I’ve been playing Friday for my kindergarteners every Friday. Timeless.
I've not heard this full thing, and I'm not familiar with the pc music scene beyond gecs and Charli. what are good starting points for that style?
I posted a list a few up but if you’re wanting to dive in with full projects the new Food House album is great. I love the two AG Cook records from this year but taken together they are “a lot” (7G has the best material, but Apple is more streamlined). Hannah Diamond’s Reflections for something that leans more into clean sounding pop. Tommy Cash’s ¥€$ is one of my favourites and one of the earliest releases the realize a hip hop oriented version of the PC sound.
I think it’s my favourite. At least it has been for the last week or so. It’s constantly changing though.
