FUCK YES no one has continued to explore rock music's possibilities more than these guys don't even mention Radiohead last album was a masterpiece (and most others too) so let's see what they've got in store this time
really cool it's an interesting direction, as always very excited! also, surprised no one here gives a fuck although for some reason I kind of expected you to be into the Projectors @irthesteve
I got into them with Bitte Orca and have been on board ever since! Still not really into stuff pre-Bitte though
Sorry Dave, Amber's new solo song wins this battle!!!! Album - Amber Coffman - City of No Reply also, Amber and Dirty Projector's reps both declined to answer if she is part of the band or not
I quite like this, more than the first song as well. Definitely seems like it's just him without the girls anymore, and both tracks have been way more low key. Interested to see how the rest of the album shakes out.
both bitte orca and swing lo are so dense that i still find myself with new favorite tracks after what feel like hundreds of listens. newest opinion: "unto caesar" is truly an astounding song. i firmly believe those records are two of the greatest musical statements (undeniably true if we're looking specifically at vocal performance) in the past few decades and i only grow more and more certain of that stance as i continue to listen. rise above is almost on the level but it's a bit too inconsistent save for the title track. i love the new direction, both the last few records had their moments, but imo few artists can touch what this band was doing a decade ago.
