Happy for her. She makes such great collaborations, hope that her solo career will be successful.

Jesus, today is blast of "new releases". I didn't expect Amber will drop one more single before album release.

How is this? It's streaming on NPR.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Thoroughly enjoyed this on first listen today (Dirty Projectors self-titled is currently holding strong as my AOTY). An interesting wrinkle is that the album closer samples "I See You" heavily.

Yeah, this is really good! Not big on the second track but everything else is solid.

Edit: And yeah, that I See You sample was unexpected.

Listening "If You want My Heart" - extremely light, melodic and joyful.

Excellent first listen, also very intrigued by the Dirty Projectors crossover, pretty sure Dave has background vocals on a few tracks of this album

Alright, you all have to try this out. I just played Dirty Projectors "I See You" and then Amber's "Kindness" back to back and it actually plays like one long song, almost seamlessly. It's kinda amazing

I did this the other day. Love Amber's use of the horns, but I prefer "I See You" as a song.

God damn though, that organ hook is something else.

OK this is SUPER interesting to me. I went through the album credits, being curious how involved Dave was besides producing, and as I figured... he's everywhere. Instruments, additional vocals, all production, etc. Expected that....

BUT what I found out is that both Haley Dekle and Angel Deradoorian are credited as background vocals on No Coffee, Dark Night, City of No Reply, Do You Believe, Under The Sun, Brand New and Kindness. As you may know Haley, Angel and Amber were the trio of singers that comprised of Dirty Projectors with Dave for the album Bitte Orca. So in a way, this album is the first time all 4 of them are together again! I found it very interesting.

Interesting post. I had seen Dave was involved on the album but did not know it was to that extent. That Dirty Projectors album is my AOTY and I'm loving this as well.

Yeah, the new DP is easily my top 5 so far, and this one is growing on me each listen

This album keeps growing on me more and more each listen. "Dark Knight" "Miss You" "Nobody Knows" all have grown on me especially, this album's super solid
