Destroyer - Labyrinthitis (March 25, 2022)

Best Destroyer album. Probably in the minority opinion on that, but it’s so fucking good. Weird and vibrant, like every prior Destroyer sound trying to break out at once.

 

This is very good. My first Destroyer album and I really enjoy it!

 

Listen to Kaputt, it’s masterful. His whole discography has a lot to offer.

Big fan of this one too, there’s a darkness to it thats really appealing.

 

“It’s In Your Heart Now” is something else. What an opener.

 

“All My Pretty Dresses” has shot up the list of my favorite Destroyer songs, towards the very top. “It Takes A Thief” is a jam as well, very punchy.

 

I suggest the song “sublimation hour”
The riff is intoxicating

It's excellent. I kinda see where the 'trip-hop vibes' comment comes from, it's sorta audible on this song.

 

Here for it and hoping more artists go for a trip-hop inspired sound. That genre needs a revival!
