I've listened to Kaputt multiple times over the years and like the Broken Social Scene-adjacent Canadian vibes and love how it all sounds... but never have listened to anything else. They have so much material, what would be the best path of attack to check out a few other albums?

Streethawk, Rubies and Your Blues are the best non-Kaputt albums imo.

intersting, all are pre-Kaputt, has the recent material not been as good?

this is just me ofc but those are the four albums I'd consider pretty much front to back killer. after that there's definitely good, occasionally great stuff ("forces from above" is a top 10 destroyer song) but it's just not as consistently engaging.

  10. This album is fucking jawdropping, I can't believe he's just made something this good 30 years in.

It’s been incredible, that is a very wrong take. Last two especially, LABYRINTHITIS and How We Met.

  12. Bump to make sure this doesn't get lost in the shuffle with Perfume Genius, Lucy Dacus and Great Grandpa also dropping albums today.
