Back when music videos were awesome and people gave a shit about them (MV's that is). I remember thinking this video was so bad ass as a teen and made me want to go to shows.
Dang, the solo in Phantom Bride gets me every time. Gore is still incredible, I don't care what anyone says.
The last three tracks on that album are all top-tier Deftones, and could even be my favorite 3-track stretch (if that’s even a thing)
Also the best 3 track stretch is either Rapture-Cherry Waves-Beware or Deathblow-WGTB-Battle Axe and you can take that shit to the bank
Hexagram, When Girls Telephone Boys, and Bloody Cape have been my go-to running jams lately. Chino shrieking in your ear is great motivation.
If we are being honest: "Swerve City" through "Goon Squad" is one big incredible stretch of music. I might like KNY alot is what I am saying.
Also, I heard this cover for the first time this past week since the year of this album's release. It's actually much better than I remembered.
I was 15 when i purchased that album for my birthday. I remember blasting Hexagram for the first time in older brother's car and just being blown away. Will never forget that moment.
