Well, I loved this. Thought it was better than the first one. I don't really want to hate on them for TJ Miller because that was a bit out of their control. He's horrible, but I know we won't see him in future movies. Otherwise, this was just hilarious.

Also, didn't even know that was Matt Damon as one of the rednecks, but it SHOULD'VE been Tyler Labine.

On Friday someone dropped his name in here without spoiler tagging it so I was expecting the cameo. Took me a second to recognize it was him in that scene.

Did a double feature with Avengers today and loved this a lot more. Some of the dramatic stuff felt bland though.

I was the only person in the theater who understood the Rob Liefeld joke and was dying laughing. Best joke in the film.

  5. the more i think about this movie, the more i realize i didn't like it. i didn't really like the first one either though so whatever. it was fine. it got some chuckles out of me. but for the most part, most of the jokes were just too eye-rolly to me and not even funny.

I see more reason to rewatch this. The first one wasn't very rewatchable due to the origin aspects, but this one just hops right in and features better action and laughs.

You a fan of Deadpool 2? Wanna give comics a try? The comic book thread has put together some recommendations to help guide your journey. Check ’em out, and then jump into the comic book thread if you have questions (or want more comic recommendations of any kind). The thread loves helping new readers navigate the weird and wonderful world of comics.

Deadpool vol 3: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
    Writer: Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan
    Artist: Scott Koblish, Declan Shalvey
    Buy from InStockTrades or Amazon.

This book is not the first in Gerry Duggan’s epic run, but it’s my favorite. I never liked Deadpool because his slap-stick, joke-after-joke style wasn’t my thing. But this book is serious, darker, and shows a side of Deadpool we don’t get to see often. He discovers he has a daughter somewhere and tries to find her with the help of Wolverine and Captain America. If you want something different and are interested in the character, read this. - @xapplexpiex

    Spider-Man/Deadpool vol 1: Isn't It Bromantic
    Writer: Joe Kelly
    Artist: Ed McGuinness
    Buy from InStockTrades or Amazon.

In Spider-Man/Deadpool Vol. 1, Deadpool has a new target: Peter Parker. Since he has no idea who Spider-Man really is, he befriends him and things get entertaining from there. Let the bromance begin. - @Deanna

    Deadpool vs Thanos
    Writer: Tim Seeley
    Artist: Elmo Bondoc
    Buy from InStockTrades or Amazon.

Thanos eliminated half of all life in Infinity Gauntlet to impress the personification of Death, who just wasn't into him. (It was a pretty classic "entitled dude doesn't get why girl doesn't share his feelings," to be honest, which is depressingly poignant these days.) Deadpool has flirted with Death, and Death has flirted back. Is that what this comic is about? I don't know. I've never read it. I don't even own it, nor have I ever heard anyone talk about it. But, um, isn't Deadpool 2 basically Deadpool vs Thanos? Seems relevant. Maybe. - @Tim

    Infidel
    Writer: Pornsak Pichetshote
    Artist: Aaron Campbell
Preorder this comic (which, um, is released by Image Comics, not Marvel) from Amazon, or find a comic shop near you and pick up issues #1-3 out of 5, and then go back and buy the other two when they come out. Support comic book shops that don't suck!
    Infidel
is a fascinating haunted house story about ghosts that feed on xenophobia. Also, Deadpool isn't in it. - @Vivatoto

After watching two Deadpool films, I feel pretty comfortable saying that I'm not really a Deadpool fan.

Lots of really fun stuff sprinkled throughout this. And, I want a lot more Cable and Domino. I have friends who didn't get to see this with me today, and I'm alright with revisiting this with them. But, I just don't feel that attached to Deadpool as a character?

I want X-Force to happen and to be less Deadpool-centric so that I can have the Cable & Domino film I want. Honestly, I kinda wish David Leitch did X-Force (I loved Atomic Blonde) and Drew Goddard did Deadpool 2, instead of the other way around.

This was fine and fun. Pretty much if you like the first it was fine. Brad Pitt cameo made me laugh and Cable and Domino were awesome.

Feel like the TJ Miller comments are weird. Obviously he's fucking garbage but his character was no different than the 1st really and people loved him then.

I enjoyed this and am here for an X-Force movie.

Oh the x-men cameo made me laugh. And the green-lantern script after credits. Did not see any of that coming at all. Hope Vanessa is back for X-Force cause Morena is fantastic

The worst parts of this movie are when Deadpool is talking. I like Ryan Reynolds as an actor though.

I'd say the worst part was TJ Miller, but outside of that, I think I probably mostly agree with both of these sentences.

yeah I'm not sure what it is about Deadpool that just doesn't click for me, I love how passionate Ryan Reynolds is about it but I think it's just too ironic that I can't connect, plus it's always like is he meant to be annoying or is he just annoying

Deadpool is legit supposed to be annoying. He's universally hated in the comics primarily because he's an annoyance.

Not that this is a valid defense of the character or whatever, there is a line that needs to be balanced and it's very easy to fall into the overly obnoxious side of things.

If this movie wanted to do something legitimately hilarious and meta and moral, they should have re-shot TJ Miller’s scenes with Christopher Plummer

The kid that plays Russell is on Conan right now and it is reminding me how much his character sucked in the movie.
