I'm not sure exactly. Them making fun of Stanger starts off pretty much immediately, lol, and it just evolves from there.

 

My thoughts exactly. The Cuba bit, in particular, had me losing it as well as the interaction he had with a fan in NY.

 

Cuba bit and the last one with the mom were the only truly hilarious parts imo

 

The no homo blunt rolling bit got me too.

 

Seriously, that TLC Scrubs part...

 

Legalize Everything was absurd/amazing, I was dying the whole time, even got my girlfriend to laugh at a few bits and shes definitely not that into Eric Andre's style of comedy

 

My girlfriend loathes Eric but the phone bit at the end got her. There’s no way she would have been into the first 15 minutes of this where it’s pure mayhem and screaming absurdities.

 

Will Ferrell was wonderful on Las Culturistas today.

 

Any standout episodes I should start with? I'm just jumping around to movies I've seen.

 

I ran through all of them and streamed/DLed the movies I hadn’t seen. I’d urge you to listen to all in order, but:

any Segal/JCVD, Beastmaster, Rocky 3/4, Leon, Death Wish, Total Recall, Kuffs

I’m only on Heat

 

Actionboyz is my favorite podcast, and I agree, do your best to listen in order. Some episodes are legitimately 50-75% call backs that will not make sense.

also a 3 hour episode might only have an hour of actual movie discussion, so I don’t think it’s totally necessary to have seen the movie.

 

Is it worth listening to if I don’t really want to invest the time in 90% of those movies? I love Gabrus and we have similar tastes in podcasts @OhTheWater

 

Yes. I've laughed harder during ABz than I have any show in probably 3 years. I have enough free time to half watch these dumb movies while doing something else. I'd say subscribe, download them all, unsubscribe and listen to a few without watching them. If it doesn't work for you without seeing the movie, skip around to the movies you've seen.

 

I love Gabrus but never checked it out because I haven’t seen a ton of those movies.

 

I haven’t seen a ton of the movies they cover, doesn’t bother me. I actually think I like it more when I haven’t seen the movie, Rodgers does a solid job recapping the movie and again, most of the episodes are them doing bits or telling stories.

 

I started listening for Gabrus but Stanger has my heart these days

 

Going to start going in order and try to watch the ones I haven't seen. I feel like I've been burning through the ones covering good movies and haven't even heard them do one of the ridiculous Chuck Norris, JCVD, or Segal movies.

 

Honestly the ones covering good movies are less fun, lol. Of course you get banter between them about other stuff, but the shittiness of the Segal/JCVD movies really gets them going

 

I'm confused by this phrasing:

"Weekly, the Action Boyz will post an exclusive episode just for Patrons. The episode MIGHT even be longer than the movie the Boyz are talking about."

Does this mean there's an extra episode every week on Patreon, and the regular show is free? Or is this just referencing the regular episode? I'm planning on paying either way, I just wasn't sure.
