Good album. I’m shite at describing why things are good at the best of times, but I feel like I’ll make a proper fool of myself if I try this one. I really dig the electronics mixed with the traditional African rhythms, I just wish they used more electronics in places.

Reminded me a bit of Clap! Clap! in places. I definitely recommend them for anyone who enjoyed this. More footwork inspired, but still the same vibes.

  3. This is a really neat sounding album (though I think I liked Mbongwana Star more so glad I accidentally played that one earlier). The guitar playing is especially cool and inventive, so I'm most into it when that's prominent. Less into the hip-hop leaning tracks but even those have a lot of cool moments.

    so glad y’all are enjoying!

    will def check Clap! Clap!

another Congolese band that’s similar in ways is Bantou Mentale. depending on what you listen to by them, they go back and forth in being more rock/idm than this album. extremelyyy good stuff
