Confirming for everyone that although my album Unfall released approximately 14 years ago, that was still, in fact, January 2020. For your humble consideration!

 

I think(?) I finally finished mine last night after a couple days of off and on deliberation. There were way too many incredible records this year. Maybe the first time I had stuff I wished could’ve been in my top 10 dip into the 30s. Even going through the “honorable mentions” tier was painful. Gonna hold off on posting til I’m sure I won’t edit it tho

 

Oh damn there really are only three weeks left in this hellacious year huh

Spanish Love Songs and Hot Mulligan are so far ahead of the rest of my list.

Spanish Love Songs is really scratching that Suburbia era Wonder Years itch and their record is about as perfect for my 2020 mood as can be.

Hot Mulligan is doing stuff that reminds me of a yellier early Brand New/Taking Back Sunday while at the same time being more mature than either of those two were at the time.

I was not really into Loathe until their most recent record which feels very Deftones influenced while also including metalcore elements.

 

Just going to go alphabetical this year, because I always end up hating my rankings.
